About DyslexiaWorks
DyslexiaWorks is dedicated to helping children overcome their learning challenges and reach their full potential. We offer specialist tuition and provide workshops for children with dyslexia in-person and online. Our aim is to help children build their confidence and skills in a supportive environment. Our workshops are designed to be fun and engaging, while also providing children with the tools they need to succeed. The workshops are highly specialised, structured and tailored to each child.
I am a primary school teacher, teaching in Co Cork, with over 18 years teaching experience. As an honours graduate of English from NUI Galway I am deeply passionate about literacy and pursued a teaching career shortly after qualifying with 1st class honours with a HDip in Primary Education. In 2011, I completed a Master of Education from Mary Immaculate College, where I researched and conducted literacy interventions. In 2014, I graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in SEN from Mary Immaculate College where dyslexia was my research topic.

For the past 10 years, I have worked with children with dyslexia on a daily basis. I understand that dyslexia can be a frustrating experience for children, and I strive to create a supportive and positive environment where children can thrive. I am continually updating my own learning by engaging in regular CPD and last year completed the most up to date teacher training in dyslexia with the DAI. With my extensive experience in the field of teaching and tutoring, I have developed an approach that skillfully blends the most effective elements of the best literacy programmes in my workshops.
